Well, I’m on my high horse again! This post might help some of you before you make a fool of yourself. It’s straight up advice.
There are quite a number of social media sites around the planet at the moment, check out the reviews here: SM Review Many of them are fun ones designed for social interaction and keeping in touch with friends via chat, video or photos to name a few. Then there are the more professional ones such as LinkedIn.
I began using LinkedIn because for its professional content and any connections were of value and worth knowing. However, it seems as though the standards have slipped. Here’s the BIG tip; It is a sign of desperation, lack of professionalism, ignorance and disregard for members if you “pitch” your business opportunity as soon as you make a new connection.
I have exhibited patience when this happens. I may respond to the ignoramus and attempt to educate them in 25 words or less. I am not saying to never pitch your biz opp, but there’s a right time for everything. If you don’t know about the etiquette or the accepted unwritten rules, you need to get educated. In fact, I can help you with that if you want. Join my FB group here and say hello: http://on.fb.me/1dHYlUU
Another tip; if you are advertising you biz opp do not show pics of flash cars, houses,
nude women and pics of wads of cash. Really! C’mon guys this is so old. I’m sure you want good quality targeted prospects, well, treat them with respect and as intelligent people. Don’t forget any people you sponsor or sign up will most likely leverage off of you and duplicate your methods. So, set the best example just as a top earning leader would do.
I’m thinking of starting a new advertising method. Putting my ad onto a memory stick and sealing it in a bottle, then throwing it into the ocean. I will have a song included called ‘message in a bottle’. I might float that idea past my marketing director!! I think that idea might get washed up!! To be shore to be shore!!
I’m outta here, until next time.
